Satori Sport, in a Nutshell …
Satori Sport is an innovative approach to fitness training that motivates you from the inside out. Satori is a Zen term for enlightenment; the word literally means "deeper understanding". Here the word 'Sport' refers to an athletic activity for strengthening and rejuvenating your body. Therefore Satori Sport is a way of using an athletic activity to strengthen and rejuvenate your body while gaining a deeper understanding of yourself.
In the Satori Sport classes you can expect to tone your muscles, lose weight, gain flexibility and reduce your stress, all while having a great time in a friendly atmosphere. Every class leads you through workouts that include cardio kickboxing, strength training, abdominal shaping, flexibility, meditation and the visualization of your goals.
Satori Sport Incorporates Four Training Modalities:
- Cardio Training: Tired of the treadmill? The Satori Sport program is all about variety. During the cardiovascular training you will be moving throughout our cardio stations every three minutes. We use multiple cardio conditioning exercises such as heavy bag kickboxing training, jump rope, jumping jacks, cardio step, freestyle kickboxing and power walking. Challenge levels use focus mitt training to add to the authentic martial arts experience.
- Strength Training: The bootcamp-like section of Satori Sport includes weight training, resistance bands and body weight conditioning. This training seriously tones EVERY muscle in your body! We will clearly guide you through cutting-edge strength training methods using dumbbell weights, chi balls, resistance bands, body weight ropes and body weight exercises.
- Flexibility Training: Following our various Martial Yoga™ flow series you will be releasing muscular tension while stretching your entire body. The movements are circular in nature, giving you an increased range of motion and functional flexibility. Additionally this type of Yoga encourages the healthy flow of Chi (Life-Force) through your body, dramatically increasing your health and energy levels.
- Meditation Training: Mediation is the foundation behind all of The Satori Method programs. All too often fitness programs can leave you feeling adreanalized and over-stimulated. The powerful Meditation process in the beginning and end of Satori Sport quickly gets you into 'The Zone', giving you laser-like focused, yet leaving you feeling calm and relaxed.
Satori Vitality:
The Satori Vitality program includes weekly nutrition tips and guidelines to help boost your physical transformation while following the Satori Sport exercises. Satori Vitality is currently an evolving program that is soon to include natural healing methods for detoxification and supplementation. Sessions are held after the Satori Sport training on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
